Summary:

We're seeking a part-time contract Sr. Data Scientist to support the Abbott Employee Communications team by measuring communication effectiveness and providing actionable insights. This role will help consolidate data across key employee channels, identify trends, and enable more data-driven communications decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that measure internal communications performance.
• Learn 3+ systems used by the employee communications teams to monitor and pull metrics.
• Automate the collection, consolidation, and reporting of communications metrics across employee channels to improve efficiency and reduce manual reporting.
• Analyze engagement data across email, intranet, mobile, collaboration, and other employee communications platforms.
• Measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns, leadership communications, and enterprise initiatives.
• Identify trends, audience behaviors, and opportunities by integrating data from multiple sources.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve communication strategy, channel effectiveness, and employee engagement.
• Support executive reporting and stakeholder presentations with clear, data-driven storytelling and visualizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly skilled at automating data collection, dashboarding, and reporting processes using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Strategic thinker and communicator with ability to translate large amounts of information into insights.

• Provide actionable insights that improve communications effectiveness.
• Help establish consistent measurement practices across the Employee Communications function.
